Railway RPF SI Application Status 2024: What You Need to Know

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is launching its 2024 recruitment drive for both Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable positions. The application window opens from April 15, 2024, to May 14, 2024. Vacancy Overview:

The total vacancies for SI are 452, while for Constables, it is 4208. Combined, the recruitment process aims to fill 4660 posts.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Sub-Inspector (SI):

• Age: 20 to 28 years as of July 1, 2024.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

For Constable:

• Age: 18 to 28 years.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Note: A relaxation of 3 years beyond the upper age limit is granted due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Application Fees:

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT)
• SC/ST/PH/Female Candidates (All Categories): ₹250 (fully refundable after CBT)

Fees can be paid through debit cards, credit cards, net banking, or UPI. Refunds will be processed after candidates appear in the Stage 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Physical Eligibility:

For Sub-Inspector:

• Male: Must complete a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
• Female: Must complete an 800-meter run in 4 minutes.

Additional requirements include long jump and high jump, which differ for male and female candidates.

For Constable:

• Male: 1600 meters in 5 minutes and 45 seconds.
• Female: 800 meters in 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

Reservation and Special Categories:

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): These posts are not suitable for PwBD candidates.
• Ex-Servicemen (ExSM): Reservation available as per rules.
• Women: 15% of posts are reserved for women candidates.
• SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates: Reservation is applicable as per government norms.

Mode of Examination:
