vacancies for this recruitment drive, divided across different forces: BSF: 15,654 vacancies
CISF: 7,145 vacancies

Assam Rifles: 1,248 vacancies
SSF: 35 vacancies

The application process for SSC Constable (GD) recruitment is entirely online. Candidates are required to follow these steps: Visit the official website: ssc.gov.in Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not done previously. Fill in the application form with accurate details. Upload the required documents, including a recent photograph and signature. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through online mode.  
Physical Standards and Efficiency Test:
Candidates who pass the CBE will be called for PST and PET. a. Physical Standards:
Height: Male: 170 cm (Relaxation for ST and certain regional categories) Female: 157 cm (Relaxation for ST and certain regional categories) Chest (For Male Candidates): Unexpanded: 80 cm, Minimum Expansion: 5 cm (Relaxation for ST candidates)
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards b. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Male Candidates: 5 km race in 24 minutes
Female Candidates: 1.6 km race in 8 ½ minutes
Ladakh Region: Male: 1.6 km in 7 minutes, Female: 800 meters in 5 minutes  
Eligibility Criteria: Before applying,
candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the SSC. a. Age Limit:
General Candidates: 18-23 years (Born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2007)

Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

Computer-Based Examination (CBE), followed by the
Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination. a.

Total Questions: 80 (Objective Type)
Total Marks: 160 (2 marks per question)
Duration: 60 minutes
Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning (20 questions) General Knowledge & Awareness (20 questions) Elementary Mathematics (20 questions) English/Hindi (20 questions)
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer b. Syllabus:
General Intelligence & Reasoning: Non-verbal reasoning, analogies, coding-decoding, etc.
General Knowledge & Awareness: Current events, India and its neighbouring countries, sports, history, geography, polity, and general science. Elementary Mathematics: Number systems, percentages, profit & loss, ratio & proportion, time & work, etc.
English/Hindi: Basic language comprehension and usage.

4. पात्रता मानदंड:

a. आयु सीमा:

  • सामान्य: 18-23 वर्ष (जन्म 2 जनवरी 2002 से 1 जनवरी 2007 के बीच)
  • आयु में छूट:
    • SC/ST: 5 वर्ष
    • OBC: 3 वर्ष
    • भूतपूर्व सैनिक: 3 वर्ष (सैन्य सेवा को घटाकर)
    • विशेष श्रेणियाँ: दंगे पीड़ितों के बच्चों के लिए 5-10 वर्ष तक

b. शैक्षिक योग्यता:

  • उम्मीदवार ने 1 जनवरी 2025 तक किसी मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड से मैट्रिकुलेशन (10वीं) परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की होनी चाहिए।

5. परीक्षा पैटर्न और पाठ्यक्रम:

कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (CBE):

  • कुल प्रश्न: 80 (वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार)
  • कुल अंक: 160 (प्रत्येक प्रश्न 2 अंक)
  • अवधि: 60 मिनट
  • विषय:
    • सामान्य बुद्धि और तर्कशक्ति (20 प्रश्न)
    • सामान्य ज्ञान और सामान्य जागरूकता (20 प्रश्न)
    • प्रारंभिक गणित (20 प्रश्न)
    • हिंदी/अंग्रेज़ी (20 प्रश्न)
  • नकारात्मक अंकन: प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए 0.25 अंक काटे जाएंगे।

6. शारीरिक मानक और दक्षता परीक्षा:

a. शारीरिक मानक:

  • ऊँचाई:
    • पुरुष: 170 सेमी (ST और कुछ क्षेत्रीय श्रेणियों के लिए छूट)
    • महिला: 157 सेमी (ST और कुछ क्षेत्रीय श्रेणियों के लिए छूट)
  • छाती (केवल पुरुष उम्मीदवारों के लिए):
    • बिना फुलाए: 80 सेमी, न्यूनतम विस्तार: 5 सेमी (ST उम्मीदवारों के लिए छूट)
  • वज़न: चिकित्सा मानकों के अनुसार ऊंचाई और आयु के अनुपात में

b. शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षा (PET):

  • पुरुष: 24 मिनट में 5 किमी दौड़
  • महिला: 8½ मिनट में 1.6 किमी दौड़
  • लद्दाख क्षेत्र: पुरुष: 7 मिनट में 1.6 किमी, महिला: 5 मिनट में 800 मीटर

7. आवेदन प्रक्रिया:

  • उम्मीदवार केवल ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। आवेदन करने के लिए ssc.gov.in वेबसाइट पर जाएं और वन-टाइम रजिस्ट्रेशन (OTR) प्रक्रिया पूरी करें।

8. शुल्क संरचना:
