Recruitment of 170 Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) – 2024

The New India Assurance Company Ltd., a leading Public Sector General Insurance Company, invites applications for 170 Officer positions. These roles are critical in supporting the organization’s growth and service initiatives.

Vacancy Distribution:

The company has openings for both Generalists and Specialists in various categories. Below is a breakdown of the vacancies:

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for these positions, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria related to nationality, education, and age.

1. Nationality:
   • Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal/Bhutan.
   • Tibetan refugees who arrived before 1st January 1962.
   • Individuals of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries.
2. Educational Qualifications (as of 01.09.2024):
   • Generalists: Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
   • Specialists (Accounts):
     • Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or Cost and Management Accountant (ICMA) with Graduation/Post-graduation in any discipline with 60% (55% for reserved categories) or MBA Finance/PGDM Finance/M.Com.
3. Age Limit (as on 01.09.2024):
   • Minimum: 21 years
   • Maximum: 30 years
   • Relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and existing employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies.

Probation Period:

• The probation period is one year, extendable by up to one more year. During probation, officers must pass the Non-life Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India.
• Failure to pass within the extended period may result in termination.

Service Bond:

Before joining, candidates must sign a bond to serve the company for a minimum of four years. If they resign before this period, they are liable to pay liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s gross salary.

Selection Process:

The selection process involves multiple stages:

1. Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
   • Subjects: English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude
   • Total Marks: 100
   • Duration: 60 minutes
2. Phase-II: Main Examination
   • Generalists:
     • Four sections (Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude) – Total 200 Marks.
   • Specialists:
     • Additional test on technical/professional knowledge related to the discipline – Total 200 Marks.
   • Descriptive Test: English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) – 30 Marks
3. Phase-III: Interview
   • Weightage: Online Exam (75%) and Interview (25%)

Emoluments & Benefits:

• Basic Pay: ₹50,925/- (Initial scale: ₹50,925-2,500(14)-85,925-2,710(4)-96,765)
• Gross Emoluments: Approximately ₹88,000/- per month in metro cities.
