The Indian Army has opened applications for its 53rd Technical Entry Scheme (TES-53) course commencing in July 2025. This entry is for unmarried male candidates who have completed 10+2 education in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and have appeared in the JEE (Mains) 2024. The selected candidates will be trained for a total of four years and will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army upon successful completion of training.

Eligibility Criteria

CriteriaDescription
NationalityIndian citizens or subjects of Nepal. Persons of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age LimitBetween 16½ and 19½ years as on 1st July 2025 (Born between 2nd January 2006 and 1st January 2009).
Marital StatusUnmarried Male Candidates only.
Educational Qualification10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2024.

How to Apply

  1. Online Application: Applications may be acknowledged online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  2. Editing of Application: Candidates can make changes to their application until the closing date. No progressions will be permitted after accommodation.
  3. Required Documents:
    • 10th and 12th class certificates and mark sheets.
    • JEE (Mains) 2024 result.
